The Lawson Gallery is an established gallery for artwork, prints, posters and antiquarian maps, with picture framing services. It is open 9:30am-17:30pm Monday-Saturday. The franchise of gallery's has been open for around 23 years. This particular gallery in Cambridge has a fantastic location of being opposite Kings college.

The gallery holds a variety of artwork from natural habitats such as waterfalls and flower meadows to vintage prints. It also displays work from artists such as Helen Oxenbury, Quentin Blake, Sarah Stokes, Dick Bruna, and Jane Morgan (with which the painting above belongs to). The gallery displays original artwork and prints alongside limited edition copies.

I particularly liked these pieces of artwork due to the colours and tones within them that helped them stand out. Moreover, the textures on each of the prints makes you want to touch them and therefore, creates an aesthetically pleasing experience for the viewer. Each of the prints are well structured so that every part of the print is important and interesting in its own way. This in turn also creates a focus and focal point to the prints, mostly onto the structurally tonal and textured areas of each of the prints.
