'Home' is a short film by Daniel Mulloy. It is a drama about an english family as we follow them through war torn lands. It is a powerful and uncomfortable film which tries to follow the lives of refugees more closely to create an intense impact for the audience. Mulloy is quoted saying "With Home we wanted to create a very human snapshot and show how despite the horror – our greatest strengths of love and connection, often remain”.
From the start of the film their is an intimate feel to the imagery. The extreme close up shots create an intense feeling for the audience, as though the audience is amongst the action. The tonal qualities of the imagery creates a gritty and emotional feel for the audience, which results in them thinking that something out of the ordinary is about to occur.

The small depth of field that is often used in majority of the imagery again helps to create a sense of intimacy for the audience. The natural tonal qualities help to display a realistic feel.

The imagery's intimate feel creates a sense that its from the viewers eye, that we are experiencing what they experienced. This ultimately creates an emotional impact for the audience. This intense intimacy to the imagery of the video is something that I would like to explore in my own work. I would like to look into my intimacy's in my life and the daily things that are important to me. In a sense I would like to explore a visual diary of the intimate parts of my life.
